George Smeddles

Working alongside some of the biggest names in the industry is becoming the norm for rising star, George Smeddles. Based in the dance music hub that is the UK’s capital London, George has been immersed in music since a very young age and has built an impressive understanding when it comes to the creation of the driving tech-house that has become his signature sound.

From inspiring dancefloors to turning heads in the production realms, George exudes the elements it takes to make up an influential artist and that has only been proven with both his debut tracks being snapped up by Javi Lopez and Max Chapman respectively.

His artistic combination of hard-hitting basslines and carefully crafted melodies has gained him a wave of admiration from some of the scene’s weightiest names; Kerri Chandler, Jamie Jones and Darius Syrossian have all noted George Smeddles’ obvious talents. When given the opportunity to remix George’s latest EP “Baby Drums”, the DO NOT SLEEP head honcho jumped at the chance, and you can’t get a better compliment than that when you’re in the dawn of your production career out can you?

Away from his own studio output and gigging across the globe, George co-owns Resonance Records with the world-famous Max Chapman. Their current EP “Zulu” is racing up the charts on Beatport, hovering over that #1 spot and making it only a matter of time. It’s been one of the most hyped and talked about tech-house bundles of 2017 so far, with plays from the likes of Toolroom’s Mark Knight and BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard.

Featuring regularly in massive events such as DJ Mag Live, Ministry of Sound and Do Not Sleep, not to mention his residency at London’s Egg Club. George is making a habit of performing alongside industry giants such as Dubfire, Miguel Campbell, wAFF, Lee Foss, Leftwing & Kody and dozens more, none of which has ever seemed to intimidate him but only inspire him to offer up more.

After a heavily scheduled 2016 with a barrow load of releases and a shed load of shows, the year ahead only promises more from the hardworking George Smeddles. Keep your eyes and ears on this one because he’s only just warming up.
