DJ Sinestro is one of the DC/Baltimore area's most loved DJ/Producer’s. With over Nineteen years’ experience and countless parties, club nights, and special events under his belt, it is no wonder people are talking. His mixing style is like none other in the US. Combining elements of Techno, House, Electro, Break Beats, and off the wall tracks, he is best known for live performances that span 8 to 9 different genres. Combining the ability to go through records at a fast pace (one of his mix CD’s had an amazing 42 tracks in an hour!) and reading crowd response to enable him to play the right tracks at the right times. This eclectic style is a direct response drawn from influential DJ/Producers like Richie Hawtin, DJ Dan, Jeff Mills, Terry Mullan and Laurent Garnier, to rock and hip-hop artists like Devo, Bad Brains, Beastie Boys, Run DMC, Public Enemy, and a huge helping of underground and pop culture.Alone or as part of “The Chicago Boys” with DJ Tzeech, Sinestro always pushes the boundaries and does what he love’s best which is making people dance. Sinestro’s career highlights include his 2nd place finish at the 1997 Buzz/Fever DJ Contest (beating out such talented DJ’s as Wilhelm K, TY-T, J Smooth, and Prime Mover). Sinestro’s huge DC fan base and kinetic skills have landed him as a headliner or support act for some of the biggest names in electronica including Carl Cox, Josh Wink, Richie Hawtin, Mixmaster Mike (Beastie Boys), Superstar DJ Keoki, Bad Boy Bill and far too many more to name. With so many DJ’s popping out on the scene these days, Sinestro realized the need to separate himself from the competition. One way was to produce and promote his own events. As a promoter, Sinestro has produced and promoted countless successful events and club nights over a 19-year span.Another weapon in Sinestro’s arsenal has been his amazing skills as a producer and A&R man. With continued DIY passion, Sinestro released his first record on his Random Recordings label in '96, Released a collaboration with Frankie Bones on Hard to Swallow records, released another record on the Syndicate Recordings with Miah and Simon, released an EP through Woody Mcbride’s seminal imprint Communique recordings and recently put out a new EP on Digital Memory Music that hit number 1 on the Techno charts for 2 weeks on Sinestro helped run a crew of top DC area DJ’s to perform as part of The Syndicate, his former management company with partner DJ Miah and worked alongside legendary DJ/Promoters Scott Henry and John Tab at the world-renowned Buzz nightclub in Washington DC, frequently rocking crowds there. Week after week he continues to amaze crowds and press alike wherever he may be.Currently Sinestro helps run a monthly techno night called Composite at the world famous 9:30 club in DC and has 2 more EP’s in the works that will be released soon on Digital Memory Music.Contactdjsinestro@Hotmail.comHome/office-540.412.1200List of events Sinestro has produced either on his own or through collaborations with others.• August-December 1994 - TTrippco Parties in Manassas Va (Total of 5 parties on Saturday nights)• 1995-1997 Groove Club night in Fredericksburg VA every Thursday night• 1995-1999 Wiggle parties in Charlottesville VA in collaboration with Duncan and Stroud• 1997 Club night at Twisters in Richmond on Friday nights. • 1998 Plasm Residency every Wednesday night with Frankie Bones in Washington DC• 1999 The Legendary Databass Parties(seriously...these parties were insane) every Friday night in Fredericksburg VA• 2000 A couple Databass one offs in various places• 2000-2004 The legendary Ranch parties in Spotsylvania VA (massive house parties at “The Ranch”)• 2000-2005 Buzz/Cubik (Dj transportation, VIP liason, resident DJ) Friday nights• 2002 Electroclash Themed “Sleaze” with Simon in Washington DC Thursday nights• 2002-2005 Merrimans Night Club Fredericksburg VA Saturday nights• 2002-2005 Rehab at Merrimans night club Fredericksburg VA on Wednesday nights with Bake• 2005 Conception Rave benefit to raise money for Stroud’s cancer• 2006-2008 Tantric every Friday night at the Bourbon Room in Fredericksburg VA with JonnyC and Bake• 2008 a night with Dan Bell (DBX) with Measax, JonnyC and Docindo Dorsey• 2013 Composite at 9:30 club last weekend of every month.
