It was receiving an Ian Pooley record aged 11 that started DJ and producer Prunk’s obsession with house music. Says the young Dutchman... “From that moment on, I fell in love with it”.Since then, he has channelled influences like Kerri Chandler, Moodymann and Dixon into his own tasteful deep house productions and remixes (of people like Jamie Woon) on labels like Kabale and Lauhaus’ Soweso. He was also signed at an early age to the legendary King Streets label with whom he has released a new EP.Of course, this has had a knock on effect, meaning Prunk’s DJ diary is also growing fuller by the week. So far he’s played dates at Mysterland Festival and clubs like Studio 80, as well as holding down a residency at one of Amsterdam’s finest night spots like Air, and is now available for live shows on request.
